Can two people from different worlds find love somewhere in the middle?

Miranda feels like she’s been transported back to Little House On The Prairie, and Ted’s head spins when Miranda reads the Bible on her cell phone. Yet Miranda Klassen and Ted Wiebe must find a way to make peace to meet their common goal to open the doors of Ted’s Old Order Mennonite church and community. Will they also find love in the process?

Reviews

“A wonderful story of meshing old and new traditions, of embracing change in the church and of love, Gail Sattler has written a book that you will not want to put down. ” – Cindy Loven

Sattler offers her large fan base a story where unlike meets dislike. Although both Miranda Klassen and Ted Wiebe are part of the Mennonite church, these two young adults couldn’t be any different. Inside out and outside in, Miranda and Ted look different (she’s modern, he’s Old Order conservative) and think different (she’s into electronic gadgets, he’s into plain and simple). Thrown together when Miranda is hired to organize Ted’s Old Order Mennonite church’s anniversary celebration, each balks at the other’s mode of living. Once Ted gets past Miranda’s red earrings, insanely high heels, and cellphone, and sees her heart for God, things begin to thaw between the two. With a bevy of delightful characters, Sattler takes what could be just another “toss ’em together and it will all work out in the end” faith-based romance and makes it something more, much more. Winsome and warm, this story tickles the funny bone and teases the heart in equal measure. – Publisher’s Weekly

Gail has the gift in, The Narrow Path, as in her other books, of keeping things exciting all the way. It is hard to lay down wondering what will happen next. My husband Glenn also found it very good reading. We were both raised in the Mennonite Church back in the 40’s and 50’s and can relate to much of it. It is a very good lesson on opposites working together as long as their desire is to serve the Lord. – Mary Stehman

The Narrow Path takes a realistic look at Mennonite old-order traditions and the simple life they lead apart from the rest of the world. The relationship between Ted and Miranda is sweet and funny, and the plot’s pacing flows smoothly from beginning to end. – 4 star review from Romantic Times
