TRADESMEN’S STALLS

The village marketplace bustled with activity. Many merchants were busy crafting their wares when customers called on them. The shops of blacksmiths, carpenters and glass blowers would have been functioning workshops. The blacksmith would have a blazing fire to heat the metal that he would form into tools using his hammer and anvil. The carpenter would work amidst the saws, chisels, planes, hammers and wood he would use to create furnishings. The glassblower would inflate the molten pieces of glass and work it into the beautiful creations, including perfume bottles, bowls and vases.
